ARE BOHEMIAN BOWLS SAFE FOR USING WITH FOOD?
Absolutely!
FDA approved food safe and Eco-friendly. We keep everyone safe by using only coconut oil to give our coconut shell bowls their final shine.
WHAT ARE BOHEMIAN BOWLS MADE OF!
Bohemian Bowls™ are up-cycled coconut shell bowls made from 100% Natural Coconut Shells. Our bowls are hand crafted and come in luxurious designs. You can say we're thankful for all the coconut has to offer, including its shell - that we're just a little obsessed with!
WHY ARE MY BOWLS NOT THE SAME?
We work with what mother nature gave us over here - so of course each bowl is unique. That being said we want you to know we make every effort to describe all sizes, weights, capacities, dimensions and measurements on our site – but please note due to the nature of our origins we can only provide estimate measures. In addition, we cannot guarantee a uniformed appearance to each product as they are handcrafted from natural materials and slight imperfections may occur. These imperfections include (but are not limited to), the natural grain of the coconut shell or wood, texture and color variations, natural ridges, markings and scars.
HOW SHOULD I CARE FOR MY BOHEMIAN BOWL ?
avoid heat
take care when handling
cool temperature foods are recommended
wash with warm water and soap
do not soak or use to soak
do not use in microwave or dishwasher
polish with coconut oil to re-hydrate and revive smooth finish
MY ITEM IS DAMAGED, WHAT DO I DO?
We're so sorry to hear that, it is just as disappointing for us too! Please let us know in 48 hours if something in your order is damaged or faulty. We will need to trouble you to send a photograph of the damage to claims@bohemianbowls.com along with your name & order number, then we will contact you with what steps to follow - please refer to our return policy.
WHAT'S UP WITH THE PACKAGING?
We choose to use a range of suitably sized boxes to enable us to get your goods to you safely without excess stuffing. Our boxes are made from corrugated cardboard which is easily recyclable.
To secure and seal our boxes we use kraft self-adhesive paper tape which is recyclable and degradable.
​BOXES AND ENVELOPES

When you receive a box from us, that box usually comes from our friends at the US Postal Service (USPS), in the case we use another supplier, rest assured their boxes meet the standard of being environmentally friendly too. We hope you share in the belief of no excuse for single use and find a way to utilize our packaging again, keep in mind that once our boxes are disposed of they will leave no trace. All USPS boxes are made with post-consumer waste and meet the Sustainable Forestry Initiative or Forest Stewardship Council certification standards, meaning they’re made from recycled materials and are fully recyclable. We also can’t forget to mention the U.S. Postal Service is the only shipping company in the U.S. to receive the “Cradle to Cradle” Certification at the Silver level from McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry for human and environmental health.All USPS Priority Mail and Express Mail boxes and envelopes are fully recyclable.
PAPER, CUSHIONING, & VOID FILL
We fill our boxes with 100% recycled Kraft packaging paper which is biodegradable recyclable.
Your products are lovingly wrapped with a combination of Kraft paper and on occasion second hand packaging from our suppliers which might not necessarily be as eco-friendly as we would normally use, but we feel that reusing the packaging is more environmentally friendly than contributing to landfill.
OFFICE PAPER
At Bohemian Bowls™ we either recycle our office paper or we crumple it up and stick it in your order as void fill to keep your products safe and cozy.
RECYCLED PACKING PEANUTS OR BUBBLE WRAP
No, we never purchase packing peanuts or bubble wrap for our shipping needs. However, when we receive a package in the mail using this filler, we choose to reuse them rather than throw them away. To prevent negative effects on the environment we encourage you to reuse packing peanuts and bubble wrap. If not, you can find recycling drop-offs in your area or search the web for locations at: https://earth911.com.
POLY MAILER BAGS
Some purchases may be receive in a 100% recycled poly-mailer bag. These poly-mailers are made from 100% post-consumer and post-industrial waste. In addition, their dual adhesive strip allows you to reuse them prior to recycling them (yes, that's right, they are fully recyclable).
